About Peggy Caruso

And she is recognized as an Advanced hypnotherapist. In all, she has pursued an entrepreneurial path for 22 years. Currently, she works as a parenting coach, teaching parents how to talk to their children. She released her new book, "Revolutionize Your Child's Life," on August 4th, 2014.

What Does It Take To How to Revolutionize Your Child's Life

Peggy talked about how parents could no longer use the same philosophy they were brought up in to raise their own children because the world had changed too much for it to be applicable. For one thing, children had become much more pessimistic than in earlier generations. As a way to illustrate her point, she talked about a casual test she did in her office. When she asked children that she was counseling whether a half-filled bottle of water on her desk was half-full or half-empty, only one child considered it half-full.

"There are three developmental stages that children go through," said Peggy. The first stage is the imprint stage. It applies to children from 0 to 7 years. During this stage, they absorb everything around them, almost like a sponge. The second stage is the modeling stage. It applies to children from 7 to 14 years. During this stage, they imitate others. The third stage is the socialization stage. It applies to children from 14 to 21 years. During this stage, they work on defining their own unique identities.

It was during these three critical life phases that parent had an opportunity to influence their children to develop positive mental habits. Each phase was an opportunity to help children in a different way. Unless parents intervened, their children would develop negative thinking patterns because of negative role models and negative socialization. Negative thinking, in turn, would lead to negative habits and self-destructive activities.

Peggy's book Revolutionize Your Child's Life discusses how parents can intervene at each stage of their child's development to counter the negative social conditioning children are exposed to on a regular basis.
