The piercings should not be interfered with. The area should not be touched unless during cleaning. In addition, you will need to keep clothing away from the area. Any excessive rubbing will lead to skin irritation and delay in healing. It is advisable that one keeps away from the swimming pools, rivers, lakes or other water bodies during healing.
