By Diane Long

Christmas flowers can be considered as the most popular flowers being used during the Yuletide season. In most countries, the seasonal flowers or plants which are very common would include Christmas cactus, Christmas rose, mistletoe, Poinsettia, holly, and ivy. The combination of these would often form the major parts of the traditional decorations for Christmas.

Most people would love on adding some finishing decorations and touches to their table when they are having their dinner for Christmas. Christmas floral arrangements Bozeman are considered as one most common examples for these. There are people who prefer to spend their money on those very expensive decorations when they can even create their own designs using only some basic and inexpensive tools and supplies. Follow these very simple methods for a basic arrangement.

Get the floral foam and strap it to saucer using floral foam tapes. The tapes are used for sticking the item though it is wet. You can cut the foam as well if ever you are planning to have a different shape or fitting it to the saucer size. Be sure that a space is left at the center upon placing the tapes to place the candle. It is recommended to apply the tapes diagonally into corners.

Put the candle in the center of foam and push it slowly downwards for about a half inch. The depth of pushing depends upon the candles length. If the candle is long, push it more than a half inch. Just make sure that it is secured and will not fall so that surrounding decorations will not be damaged and to avoid as well on catching fire when lighted.

Take four pieces of the blue pine branches and cut these for about ten inches as its length. Then after, place the branches horizontally into the base of foam, parallel to its saucer. The last needles set must be removed, about one inch. These can be removed by hands or using a pair of scissors. Put another layer of the blue pine, about an angle of 45 degrees in both sides and also on top of an oasis. Avoid putting too many of it so that it will not reach to a candle tip, thus, avoiding fire.

Place a berried ivy between blue pines. You must ensure that everything you have placed in there are pointing towards the central point, only beneath your candle. This will allow all foliages on radiating outwards from your centerpiece. Make sure that all the large sprigs are placed in the bottom of your arrangement. Do not leaving some gaps, if necessary, fill them all.

Prepare the small cones, group them into three and wrap these bunches to each tip of wires being tied. The preferred size of these wires is 4 inches in length. When placing the bunches, observe on having even intervals to the centerpiece. Then after, tie the cinnamon as well in groups of 3 with the use of cord. Two bunches will be placed for each group of cones, one on top and bottom.

Place some apples as well in bunches of three and placed them around the cones. Make sure to cut the stems of the rose especially the thorns and the leaves. The stems must be cut shorter if ever these will go beyond the length of centerpiece.

Make the ribbon. Make a double loop, bunch these loops together using your thumb and forefinger. Make sure that excess ribbons are cut. And lastly, tie it into both sides and base of centerpiece.
