What It Takes In Developing A Photographic Memory

By Charles Meyer

There are some skills that are truly a gift from God. These are super-skills, like the ability to learn and remember things in the way most other people cannot. The ability to remember images after just a moment of seeing them is an extremely rare gift. Historically, not many people have been blessed with this gift. However, this has not stopped us from developing a photographic memory. There are programs that have been developed to help us realize this, and these programs have been proven to work.

It all begins by first understanding what a photographic memory really is. There are several definitions but the closest one is the ability to recall images after seeing it for just a few moments. Close to it is the eidetic memory; the ability to remember images, sounds and objects after just a brief exposure. However, this is a gift that is often difficult to find. Those who are truly gifted are very few.

You must have been told so many things and steps taken in developing this ability. In a real sense, there are only three ways in which you can develop this ability. These are the genetics, lifestyle and the training. There is nothing you can do about genetics, in fact, only a few of us, less than 0.0001% percent of us have it.

Other than this, the lifestyle and training are within our control. There are steps you can take to help change and improve the ability to recall. This is what all of us who have an average brain capacity do.

Lifestyle is the second most important role. In regards to this, as an individual, your body needs proper nourishment and supplementation. These include proper quantities of a well-balanced diet, adequate exercise, meditation, and good sleep. Generally, it all boils down to optimizing the brain's cognitive ability by encouraging memory growth through maximization of the brain health.

Mediation is the second most important aspect in the lifestyle factors and is incorporated into all programs. It helps slow down your brains processing speed and train the brain in a particular manner and should be a routine life aspect.

Diet incorporates proper well balanced diet, herbs, the right vitamins and other minerals that have a positive impact on the brain. There are a number of memory enhancing herbs and vitamins, but they should be approved and backed by clinical evidence.

In addition to this, proper exercise is required. This helps to increase the level of blood circulation into the brain. More blood to the brain means more oxygen, which means more energy. Any exercise can do, whether it is weight lifting or aerobics like routine running.

Given that most programs are sold in audios, videos or other forms of records, they are often cost effective way and the long-term reward justifies the expenditure. However, even with this, you should not be afraid to return the program that is not effective and ask to be refunded your money back within the agreed period of time.
